Saleen S/C'd in here
I've been around a while on here (formerly Rustic2169) and I haven't been able to find a thread on this. Got a Brenspeed Stage 3 Saleen kit over a year ago before they changed the kit to what it is now. Came with a 9.5lb pulley, Steeda CAI which uses the stock inlet tube and the Keene Bell BAP. Well, long story short, blew the motor back in Jan, got the Aluminator, had it dyno'd and at 4900 RPM the HP drops then tries to recover. The guys at the shop said it's probably a coil shytin the bed. There is a tester to put full load on the coils and see if any are not cuttin it but that shop does not have it. They were gonna try to get with Ford and make it happen but I didn't feel like waiting. Order 8 new OEM CoPs and also discovered all 8 spark plugs are gapped at .40. So I regapped at .34 and installed new CoPs. The thing is, I still feel a bog at high load ( around 4500-6000 RPMs ) like it bogs and tries to recover.
Now to the question. I've read about intake collapse with the stock inlet tube, I'm curious to know if anyone is running that package and noticing the same thing or have actually seen that problem. I'm possibly thinking of getting the Saleen Extreme CAI kit cause if I'm gonna redo the intake, I'm gonna do it right and be done with it.
Anything thoughts or input would be great.

Check the BAP, is it set to max (50%)? it could be you're not getting enough fuel after 4900rpm and you're leaning out. isn't that how the motor orginally blew, running it at 30%? It could be your BAP is not working too. with a fuel pressure gauge, you should be able to hit 55psi on WOT.

I'm running the Saleen Extreme inlet with the GT500 pumps, with 3.4 pulley. I've always heard that the Boost a Pump was more of a band aid than a fix for adding extra fuel once you start supercharging. The new extreme inlet is a nice stup and the Mass air flow meter can handle big power. I'd call up JDM engineering and pick there brains about your setup, they know theyre stuff.

Reaper, sorry to hear about your engine blowing. Could you please give some more info on how it happened? I have the same setup, thanks!
Regarding your issue the only thing similar i've experienced is engine sputtering & bogging down when taking off from a stop when the engine is cold and its less then 20 degrees outside. Did you try cleaning the MAF sensor and throttle body? Intake tube collapse could also be an issue. I've got the upgraded saleen extreme inlet tube: http://www.brenspeed.com/extremetube.html
