Lightbulb Name that Sound!!!

Hey Guys,

Took the Mustang to the Service Dept this morning to figure out what was making a warped sound while making slow parking lot sharp turns. The guy working on my car also has a 2010 mustang with trackpack which I consider a plus. Wonder if anyone can guess what they are going to tell me???

The Facts:

Coming from the rear end.
Can only be heared at low speed sharp parking lot turns.(left or right)
Sounds like a warped metal on metal noise.
The level of the warped sound is sometimes louder than others.
Doesn't seem to affect performance in any way.
5000 miles on veh.

My guess would be the brakes but when the service guy did a drive along he did not think it was the brakes...

Take your best guess

hammeron you got it.

They flushed/changed the fluid and the sound went away. They also added an anti rubbing additive.

Probably from the clutch packs in the LSD not getting proper lube if replacing the fluid was all it took to fix it.
