Default need help with fogs

so let me begin by saying sorry for not havin pics cuz i know it'd be a lot easier to explain with them but i'll see if i can get some tommorow. so inside the fog lights theres a black cage looking metal thing. idk wut it's used for but i'm assuming its to keep the bulb in place but anyway, they both have come loose and are just rollin around inside the fog light. is this something i should bring up to a dealer so my warranty can cover it?

you could swing by a dealership and ask the service manager
if this is something that would be covered. hopefully you can
have the answer quick, without having to leave the car there.

They should probably cover it, as long as its not part of the bulb or "a piece that is meant to wear out, like a fuse, relay, or bulb"...

yea its def not part of the bulb or any other thing like that, it looks like its part of the actual assembly. i'm gonna swing by a dealership after work today, hopefully they're not asses about cuz i'm in NC and i bought the car in PA. i'm sure they wont since it's not even some high end part or anything like that, seems like a quick fix

well stopped by the dealership and they told me that my warranty is actually 3 year/36,000 and my car had 36,003 so the lady just hooked me up and marked me at 35,003 cuz she thought it'd be messed up to honor it just for the 3 miles that i probably drive just to get there. so they're gonna order the parts and call me in 3-5 days and fix my problem but i do have another question now. is that 3/36,000 warranty just for like the body? cuz to my understanding i had the remainer of the 6/100,000 and it's on my paperwork

Good to hear they are going to fix it.
I don't know about yours, but I know my warranty is
3 year/ 36,000 mile bumper-to-bumper and 5 year/ 60,000 mile powertrain.
I think they did switch to 100,000 mile something, but that was after my model year.

Its common.
\The glue releases and the black bulb guard goes rolling round inside the Fog Light.
It happens more often with aftermarket bulbs than the standard 45W OEM bulb.
