If I decide on the HR's I'll let you know.
Would you happen to know if Joe can upload one of his tunes from that shop on to my SCT X3? (for backup purposes)

well if you get a dyno tune, it will be in the PCM and also
on the tuning device. you should also request a copy of the
tune in .ll3 (or whatever is appropriate) format, so you can
archive it to a cdrom.

Hotrods or D rockers, you cant lose either way IMO. If you buy the d rockers brenspeed will email you a revised tune, you will prolly get that email before the UPS truck shows up at your house. Adding headers down the road when finances are available is a great idea too.

Just had to come back to this thread after the install.

Turns out I got a 38HP gain on 91 oct tune.
I got a 47 gain on 93 oct tune.

Waaaaay better than I expected!
More than they advertised!

I am still waiting on the dyno numbers to be emailed along with the video.

I was there for the 91 oct runs but not for the 93 oct run.
That is why I want the official results from it so bad.

It does feel like a completely different car now man.
This thing drives like it's mad at the pavement!

And thanks again for the congrats.
I hope I wasn't one of those people blowing up your PM's too much lol.

man i wouldnt have expected those numbers without the longtubes. It sounds like it really makes a difference if grab some pulls off the dyno so the shop can get everything dialed in correctly. I may have to do that when I head up to brenspeeds shop at the end of july. I have the DR and the first tune didnt really seem like my car got any more power so they are sending a revised tune. I'll see how the car responds to that first

Yeah if I were you I would really consider getting some long tubes. I had some people on here telling me I would'nt see squat for extra gains with them comboing the cams but the results prove otherwise.
The long tubes DEFINITELY got the most out of the cams.
I'm sure the great tuning helped too.

With these results though it would be very hard to deny the the long tubes did not help out with the gain.
Think about it. 10 more HP than advertised is awesome if you ask me.
Plus about 8 more than that on a 93 tune?

People were saying to expect a 15-20 hp increase and that the long tubes would do nothing... well I got a 38HP increase on the same oct. and 47 increase with 93 oct.
I'd say that is pretty solid proof.

Sorry but I don't see those gains happening with the cams alone. I'd say the long tube non believers were wrong on this one.
