The saleen s/c runs 5 psi boost and without a pulley shouldn't be anywhere near 500 rwhp. I think it will be fine without another pulley otherwise you better beef up that tranny. I also have an auto and plan to install a saleen s/c as soon as I can afford it but won't even consider another pulley without a new tranny.

We spoke previously about 430rwhp as being sort of the limit for the autos. Has there been enough testing to prove that the tranny and others hold out?

Also, if the car was to be putting down that type of rwhp, is the length of time at that level that screws up the engine or just the fact that you put that much on it at any time?

I am still looking to get the Saleen s/c and want to make sure enough tests are done so that I can breathe easy with whatever pulley I put in.

Here's a post by the guy who dyno tuned my car. He installed a saleen blower and is about to change his manual tranny to an automatic.
