Did you ever find the issue? I've had Hot Rods in for about a year... couple weeks ago started tossing P0300.. went ahead and changed plugs (94000 miles)... Just tossed the code again. Engine runs fine.
Well you could always replace the #8 plug and see if the code returns. That will be fairly inexpensive. If it does return then i would swap your #7 COP with the #8 and then see if #7 throws a code. If it does then you know that it is a bad COP.
This would be my advice. These engines have random misfires all the time that don't throw a code, so it could be nothing. I've never gotten a misfire code before, but I know I had a misfire before.
