Default Thunking noise after shutdown and wire question

I know thunk is not very descriptive but its the best I can come up with. Noticed yesterday after I shut my car off in my driveway, about 1 second after the motor shuts down, I heard this thunk noise come from what seemed like underneath the car. Heard it again today after shutting her down at work.

When I got home I left the windows down and shut it off. Now it sounds a little more like gas escaping from something. 2010 GT. Exhaust leak maybe? Seems strange since the car is less than one year old and hasn't even hit 6k miles yet. Driving the car it sounds the same as always.

Any ideas?

Also, poking around the engine bay the other day I noticed that where the wires for my passenger side fuel injectors wraps up around the valve cover from underneath the electrical tape wrapped wire is snug up against the front of the valve cover. A good 4 or 5 inches is pretty much in contact with the cover. The drivers side doesn't seem to touch at all. I'm concerned that 4 years from now the heat from the valve cover will melt thru these wires. Here is some pics.
