Default Electronics issues..

When I turn the car on it takes a few seconds for the dash to light up. Also the Time is always going back to 12:00 PM and the HID's wont turn on.. Now I know I need a new battery as this one is definitely bad but could this be the reason why my HIDs haven't been working and for the weird issues with the dash?

Does that make sense?

These S197's (and most other cars these days) are very persnickity about voltage. Add to that the S197's poor record with the OE MotorCrap battery and alternator degradation/failure and you have a recipe for electrical issues like yours.

+1 regarding "1 + 1 = 2"

I would check to see if the battery is good, cause 590 crank amp is s h i t , especially if you have subs and amps. Some folks on this site told me that Interstate batteries are good, and i installed one and it runs perfect.

If that doesnt solve your issue, check the notorious passenger side floor for water. My water leak issue made my HID lights not work either and my dash was possessed including my tail lights. I hope your issue is the battery. Cause the water issue is a b i t c h to fix .

are your HID's connected directly to the battery? if so try replacing the battery, if not... connect them directly to the battery.
