I noticed you have a TVS 2300 SC in your future.

i went from stock 3.31's to 4.10's and it made a workd of difference in acceleration, as much as the CAI did.
with my Whipple and 4.10's traction from a dig is a little more challenging, but its doable with some practice.
once you practice, they will be faster.

ok, a TVS is not technically a TS
but close enough for bench racing on the internet.

I gotcha. Well I can't post a WTB thread on here yet but I'll be in the market for some 4.10 gears if anyone has any for sale. Someone else told me I may need bearings as well. Is this true?

Youre better off buying them brand new cause they are not that expensive. Besides, you dont want someone else's potential problem, especially something as cruicial as gears. They are practically nothing from American Muscle. Thats my 2 cents. Some things are worth buying brand new

With regards to bearing, i would just buy an install kit since youre buying gears and get it all done with the first time. But if the mileage is really low on your car, then go ahead and use your old ones. I rather buy the kit from AM. Again, it is not that much. The install of the gear unit is where the money pit is, in my own opinion

I bought my limer with 4.10s already installed by the PO. Would not have it any other way! the RPMs are a lil high at highway but i get a consistent 23mpg on the highway. I am in love with how well it throws you in the seat and hearing the tires strain for traction even in 3rd.

I JUST BOUGHT my FRPP 4:10;s from AM! I ordered them three days ago while still on sale ($134.00) and they are scheduled to arrive on 051911 according to the UPS tracking number..I have an 05 5 speed with stock 3:55's with my only upgrade being a JLT CAI with a 93 BAMA tune...I went back and forth for a long time trying to decide between 3:73 and 4:10. All I heard from fellow Mustang owners was it depends on your driving, 3:73 would be a wasted upgrade and you wont look back after putting in the 4:10's...Well, I took the advice and hopefully I wont have any regrets!

I have less than 15k miles, but the bearings are only like $50 extra so I might do that.

I am gonna do a before and after impression vid if I do get them.
