Manual or Automatic GT or BOSS? Can't decide
#22
honestly, manual shifting is all based upon the driver and the set up of the car. I would recommend the gt or the boss. you need decide what kind of tranny you get though. However, i have a manual 07 gt and it's basically second hand knowledge. With a little practice, it's like not even shifting gears and yes i also multitask while driving from using the phone to having my hand occupied by the fiance. It's really simple. Good luck with whatever you choose.

Lots of good feedback thanks all. I have thought about it. The main reasons for liking the Boss is that it is a performance vehicle and looks bad and nobody hardly has one...but I'm put off by the lack of options. Just a few too less for the price. So, now, I've actually been looking for slightly used 2011 GT500's !!! Performance + options. I found a couple I like but they are about 6000 more than a fully loaded 2012 GT Premium. I'm gonna see if one of the two dealers can bring it down closer to 40K. If they can, I may have found the car! There is a Kona blue one and a black one...neither have stripes. Both priced 46-47K, SVT Package. 40K...and I"m there! Fingers crossed.

i love the sound of saying "Boss 3-0-2" but i think for the money a regular gt is fine. a boss will net a bit more on resale but the paint schemes on them are ehhh and i think they can do better in up coming years.

Both transmissions are great but I'm getting the Auto. The 5.0 will be my DD and I need my coffee in the morning, . I agree about the manual holding the exhaust note better and such but for me the auto will be a better choice. Now for the Shelby it's a manual and I wouldn't want it any other way!!!

OP if you're still considering a Boss, one of the dealers here has one.
www.santanford.com
It's a good dealership and where i have service performed on our 2 Fords.
