The 2011's are a lot better than the ones in my 2007, but still not as good as aftermarket, you can look at old threads for the 05+, its really teh same shaker system as those. I believe they are 8" subs, you can put any 8" in there. From what I read putting a better quality amp does more for sound than the subs/speakers though.

I powered my stock subs with a Focal Solid 1 amp. Made a huge difference. Doesn't Kicker make the Shelby setup and aren't they the only one with a shallow enough mount that the grille doesn't need to be modified?

door mounted subs are a horrible idea. its like sitting listening to a sound system backwards where the bass is in front of you instead of below or behind.
for me the problem is balancing out the bass and treble so neither is boomy (bass) or to ice picky (treble) when turned up.
ways to fix this....
new head unit and a real sub
a new head unit can assign those door woofers to not play such low notes so they are doing less and they are staying in their right frequency more (high frequency bass is where they should be) and adding a real 10-12" sub will cover the real low end.
you can replace the head unit only that will also clean things up right away.
or you can put money into an amp that will power what you have now and any future upgrades. it will make things a bit tighter and crisper.
what you have to decide on is what do you want to change and how much do you have to spend on it.
