FRPP cams with e-force?
In my case "on the street daily driver" I think the cams still add benefit. I spend most of my time driving without going into boost or at a very low level of boost. I enjoy the added power of the cams while not in boost even though I may not gain as much as I could with blower cams at full throttle. If I were going for race application, I would get the blower cams. Just my thoughts.
Unless you're using a double negative, are you saying the Hot Rod cams are NOT for N/A? I'm pretty sure they are...
"Engineered specifically for naturally aspirated applications by the same designers of the stock camshafts"
Got that right off the description on the FRPP website.

FRPP cams and Roushcharger here. You'll love the cams with your setup. I blow my Pirelli street tires off 1st - 3rd gear. No bogging, no coughs, no power loss whatsoever. Just put them in or be scared all your life from what others tell you that don't even run them.
It can be done....but not advisable. Hot Rod cams have a profile designed for N/A applications. You'll lose power in you install them in a car with an supercharger. You can get supercharger cams though and that will help power, but I assume you're going for the rougher idle? A cam that's good for taking advantage of boost does not lend itself to a lopey idle, and vice versa.
No you will not LOSE power adding these to a supercharged car.
WTF? What are you smoking exactly? Do you even HAVE them on a Sced car?
I think you are spitting out nonsense from others who have NO real clue as to what they are talking about.
You are WRONG. PERIOD.
Now.. you will not gain as much power as you would with blower cams, but putting these on is not going to cause you to lose HP.
You will still GAIN hp. But some long tubes on with them and gain more.
I'd put a set of blower cams on if i KNEW I was going to put on a supercharger.
But I cannot say I would switch out my cams if I had already cammed it and unexpectedly put on a supercharger later.
I think you will be happy with cams either way you go. And you WILL gain power either way as well.
Long tubes with the installation of cams is something I STRONGLY suggest though.
They help with that great sound they add, as well as adding another good 15 or more HP to your gains.
Plus they allow the cams and supercharger more breathing which is always good.

Parchisi..was not trying to insult you.
My comments at the first of that reply were meant to be taken as a joke.
But... again he will not lose any power. He just will not as much as opposed to a blower cam. He will still gain a good amount of power.
The decision of getting blower cams or not come into play when he knows when he will be getting the blower... before the cams, at the same time, or well after.
IF the cams come well before the blower, then the Hot Rods and Detroit Rockers non blower cam are both a fine choice and he would still gain plenty enough to be satisfied. There are numerous people on this forum running the Hot Rods with a blower and love the power increase. It's not like comparing getting long tubes to shorties or anything like that.
If he is getting the cams way before the blower and wants something to enjoy up till then, that will still help him later... The Hot Rods are a VERY good choice and will not really interfere with his power gain goals unless he wants to beef up his car to unbelievable power and squeeze every single bit of horsepower he can out of the car.
Just ask the people around that have this setup. I have not seen one person that has decided to yank the Hot Rods out and put blower cams on here due to power concerns yet. But I'm sure there ARE guys out there that want EVERY SINGLE bit of max power they can get and would spend the money to yank them.
With the cams and long tubes alone he can get over 40RWHP. Add the supercharger and the gains to the cams themselves will be more.
Plenty of extra power to be seen with the Hot Rod cams in a blower application vs just a blower without cams.
P.S. Ford even talks about the Hot Rods with a blower application. They were very pleased with the gains they provided.
Are they technically a blower cam? No. Will a blower cam give some more power? Probably. Do these cams give good power though in blower applications? Absolutely.
So as I stated before I would NOT fret over putting them in a car now that will be blown later. The gains will be plenty and it will not be a mouse vs. lion situation with gain comparisons.
IF so there's no way in Hell I would recommend them for a blown car. In NO WAY am I a fan boy or loyal to just one cam. But I do feel these cams will give him every bit of what he desires.
Not to mention they are a bit more street friendly than the blower cams from what I understand.

No worries Blacksmoke, I just misread the tone of your post.
Actually blower cams are more "street friendly" With the wider LSA and little to no overlap, idle will be very smooth, you'll have more vacuum, and low end torque will be improved over a high rpm N/A camshaft.
Also, I'm not totally sold on the Hot Rod cam's hp benefits, it seems that they are more for the sound. Along with longtubes, free flowing exhaust, intake, and tune, people are seeing decent gains, but with the cams and tune alone, I've heard of gains as little as 5-10 rwhp.
And just because you get a gain with the cams N/A does not guarantee the same or more HP gain with a supercharger over stock cams. Depending on how radical the cam is, the stock cam can actually provide more FI power due to less overlap. Overlap = wasted boost that goes right out the exhaust valve before it closes. In the case of the Hot Rod cams, it seems that the increased flow with the longer duration and higher lift outweighs the overlap issue, but you're still wasting boost.
And like I said, from the OP's orginal post, he asked about adding the Hot Rod cams to an already existing E-Force supercharger, that's why I wanted to steer him towards blower cams. But to answer his original question, as I said in my first post, they will work.

Before I supercharged the car I put these cams in along with a set of headers. There is plenty of resources out there if you search that have gains of up to 30hp. Up to 50 hp with Ford Racing heads. The main reason I wanted these cams was for sound and for the vibration and rocking that comes along with it. Same reason I've always had Harleys as opposed to anything else. I like to feel and hear my cars and motorcycles running. And camming a late model Mustang is just too cool. I enjoy the car alot more when I can feel it. You wouldn't believe how many comments I get about the idle wherever I go. The most common remark is how people never hear todays cars sound like that. It takes them back. They think I've dropped some monster cammed big block in it. Hardly anyone messes with me most likely because of the sound. So did I buy the cams for power? No. But 30 hp was a nice bonus.
