Default Need Some Advice - Inner Fender Splash Shield Loose?

I've searched all over, but can't seem to find any answers on this.

I had to partially remove the back side of my passenger side inner fender liner, and for some reason, it seems really loose and moves around easily.

I installed all the plastic fasteners, but it still is way too loose.

Has anyone removed their fender liners and had this issue? Maybe the fasteners are one time use and I need to use fresh ones?

The fasteners deteriorate pretty easy if taken out and reused a few times and need replaced. You can get generic ones at parts stores or go to Ford and get OEM if you like. Make sure that you get the rear liner bottom outside corner tucked in where it goes or it will flop around.

Yup, I'm pretty sure the fasteners have gotten a bit tired and maybe not holding as tight as they should.

For the rear bottom outside corner of the liner, can you elaborate on how it needs to be tucked in? This could be where I screwed up.

It sandwiches between the rocker and inner fender support on mine. I missed it once and it flopped around.

Are you talking about where the lower splash guard meets the front of the rocker panel, which is secured with two push-in plastic pop-screws?
