Intermittent Loss of Wipers and Vent Fan on 06 V8
I have recently noticed that my wipers and vent fan do not work right away when I start the car in the morning. Their full function was returning in a few minutes, but that lag to function is now taking longer and longer. Once their function returns, they seem to work for the remainder of the day even if I shut the car down, so it may have to do with the car heating up?
Any thoughts? Clearly not fuses, but hard to troubleshoot when they start to work normally again.
Thanks,
Mike

Any chance you've noticed a damp carpet by the front passenger kick panel after a rain? The 05's and 06's and a few later years, too, have a chronic water leak. There's a TSB in the S197 main forum stickies that describes it. It causes corrosion of the Smart Junction Box (SJB) and results in some pretty wicked electrical gremlins. Otherwise, dig into this link for the wiring diagrams and see if there's any connection (no pun intended) between the wipers and the fan.

Bad SJB syndrome, 99% sure.
Water Leak.
Corrosion of the SmartJunctionBox
located on the passengers side kick panel.
Remove door sill, kick panel and pull carpet/pad
back to check for ANY signs of water intrusion/mold.
Check cowl drains for blockage.
