Hey people I have been hearing so much talk about x pipes not being good for flowmasters and that the h pipes are better. Well I have 40 series flowmasters right now and I'm looking to get pipes. I know I like loud louddddd sound, but people are saying x pipes make a rattling terrible sound and h pipe sounds better, and than people are disagreeing. I went on youtube and looked them up but its hard to really hear it through the videos.

I just don't want to buy an h pipe because of the negative hype around the x pipe..and than the x pipe ends up being the sound I really would've wanted.

Anyone have flowmasters and have x or h pipes? If so what are you're views.

If you go catted the x-pipe and flows sounds pretty good but if you go o/r x and flows it doesn't sound that good. I know someone with that setup and it sounds okay at idle but when he revs it sounds like crap.

My personal belief is that H always sounds better than X regardless of muffler choice.

H pipe all the way. X is just too raspy for our 3v motors.
