Default Sound difference with aftermarket cats?

Just wondering how much aftermarket cats are going to change the sound of the exhaust?
Right now I have JBA LT's with O/R H-Pipe to a Roush Extreme Cat Back and GT500 stock mufflers. The GT500 mufflers calmed it down some, but still trumpeting and loud.
I'm going to order JBA catted H-Pipe and just wondering if it would help calm it down even more.

I searched but couldn't find any sound files to get an idea.

Thanks

it will quiet it down quite a bit. i used to have an O/R x-pipe on mine and put some high flow cats on it and it made a huge difference. i still like the tone but its much quieter now. i will be changing it back soon.

Good, with LT's I can be happy with it alittle bit quiter.

LT stands for Long Tube headers if I'm not mistaken

wow...don't know how i didn't figure that out.

yeah i'm sure with the headers and O/R x-pipe, its pretty dang loud. personally, there's no such thing as too loud but i can definitely understand how it could get to some people. i'm only 22 though, so loud is still fun for me!

I keep posting loud, but I agree loud is good. It is the loud trumpeting that is not good. This is all I'm trying to fix.

So far with the JBA Long Tubes, JBA Off Road H-Pipe, Roush mid section and GT500 mufflers it is alot better, but the trumpeting is still there just slightly. I can definately deal with that. What I can't deal with now is the heavy gas smell.
Hopefully the cats will get rid of that and some of the trumpeting and I will be happy.
Think I will wire up the Autometer wideband to see how this tune is. I have had cats removed on most of my cars and the gas smell has never been as heavy as this one is.

Going to order the JBA catted H-Pipe tomorrow.

Doubt I will beable to get a sound file.

it should help the smell a lot. i can smell it a little bit on the set up i have now, but it was a lot more prominent when i had the cats off. that can definitely get to you.

I used a DB meter and did a before/after between my O/R H and then adding HF cats. The actual volume didnt change, but as stated by others it made a world of difference. It seemed quiter because it took a lot of the rasp out and refined the sound. Same volume, just better in my opinion.
