They are if you have a master mechanic at your disposal who will do anything for just $150 lol. But I do have to help out quite a bit.

To those that went supercharger, what made you decide on which supercharger to go with. I'm surprised I don't see a whole lot of people running a centrifugal on here. Most go with positive displacement. Is it because of the low end power, the fit and finish? Like I said, this car will never see a drag strip and will still be a daily driver.

Also, for those that went with positive displacement, why did you pick the one you have? If I'm going to drop $6K on a blower, I want to do some research first.

$3500 after they found the parts themselves. You could pay some one $3000 to put the parts in a box for you. Some of these have a few extra dollars spent like a fancy tank or carbon intake. Of course you don't get those parts with the $6500 dollars kits you plastic tanks and intakes. These cars all make over 450rwhp and 450 rwt.

Was definitely cruising this thread looking for an approximate price.
How was the gain? Any numbers?

908ssp, I appreciate the info and it's certainly something to look into. I've been looking at prices for GT500 superchargers on ebay and they're not bad. Is there a place, other than a 500+ page thread, that I can find information on building the kit and the cost of the intake. I tried to read through the thread, but my head started hurting after about page three.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Check out S197forum (hopefully I can say that?). I got a <3500 mile P1 Procharger for $3100 shipped to my door, even came with 39# injectors, HT0s, & the programmer. Deals are out there...there's a stage 2 Procharger on there currently for $3200.

Well, I got the green light from the wife for a supercharger, so I think that's the way I'm going to go. It'll be a little while, probably October timeframe, but unless something changes, I think that's the way I'm going to go. The only issue is which setup to go with. I like the price of the Vortech, but from what I remember, they really don't start building power until the upper RPMs. The Whipple builds power everywhere, but the cost of those are pretty high. Same with the Kenne Bell and the E-Force. I also like the cost of the DOB one, but then there's the pain of trying to piece it together, plus the fact that it might take some ingenuity to make it work.

Again, this will be strictly a street/daily driver car, so screaming at 6000 RPM on a regular basis is not something I'm going to do. I just want a more responsive and quicker street car.

You may want to hang on alittle longer than october. Brenspeed usually has a black friday special on supercharger setups at the end of the year along with 1/2 price labor installs in Jan/Feb.

Good tip, thanks. By the way, where are you in WV? I'm from Parkersburg originally.
