Ok; so first off my mods are as follows:

2007 Mustang GT 5 Spd:
Pacesetter Long Tubes, Off Road X-Pipe, Magna Packs, Hot Rod Cams, JLT Big Air (110mm)

I have currently the canned SCT tune for 93 octane and JLT option checked. Car runs great, runs pretty rich on idle however.

Would there be any advantages of adding or pulling spark through the SCT device?

Yes; I know a dyno tune is prefered; however I do not want to spend the money on that until I get my heads finished and the intake manifold and nitrous installed.

Why not a custom tune from AM? Did you not get the tuner from them or something?

I have a local tuner who I will be getting a dyno tune from after I complete my mods; I actually sell tuners & performance parts so I bought straight from the manufacturer.

I'd be leary of bumping timing without being able to see what exactly is going on, but my ride is a DD and my only transportation.
