Default New clutch advice

Well my stock clutch is starting to wear out, so I'm looking at upgrading. Right now I have a CAI, exhaust, and tunes but I'm planning on doing headers and cams sometime next year. I've always done my business through American Muscle and I'm looking at their Exedy Mach 350 Stage 1 and Ram HDX. I was wondering which one would be better, good/bad reviews, etc. I'm also open to other suggestions. Thanks for the help!

Hey,

Thanks for being a great and loyal customer, we really appreciate that! I can definitely help you out with your Clutch situation. If you're just small bolt on's and don't really plan on going Forced Induction, Nitrous Etc.. then a Stage 1 will be plenty of Clutch for you. Both of the above options would be great and I'm confident you'd be really happy with both of them!

I went with the Exedy Mach Stage 1 Clutch in my 04' Mach1. I love everything about it and haven't ran into any issues at all!

I hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of any assistance of if you have any questions! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266. I can also have one of them call you directly.

-Dan

Thank you very much. I'll give the Exedy a shot. I do plan on forced induction later on down the road, but I'm looking for a clutch to get me through until I can swap out the stock trans. I appreciate the help!

Meh. It just seems that the clutch topic has been beat to death lately and I'm not the type to remind people to use the search feature, so I keep my responses short and sweet.

I'll be going with McLeod when it comes time to swap the tranny.

i did a lot of reading on my different options and these were the two that i narrowed it down to, so i wanted to hear what y'all thought.

I agree, but it seems the Mcleod clutch is liked by every person who uses it and it rarely has any negative issues.
