should I buy a tune?
Ok guys.
I have a 2008 GT.... stock.
But I have just ordered a suspension upgrade:
Eibach pro kit
Eibach camber bolts'
ford gt500 strut mount kit
Roush cold air intake
Basanni axle back exhaust
thinking of catted H pipe
and a future supercharger.
Do you thin it is worth getting a tune?

Unless the Roush CAI is a total POS you have to have a tune to run it. Your car will go lean. So call Brenspeed or AM and get a tune. Its really wakes up the car and if your an auto, OMG what a difference it makes. My car ran a half second faster at the track with a CAI and tune from Brenspeed.

I have an Airaid CAI, which is the same company that makes the Roush CAI. My Airaid does not require a tune, however the performance gain is minimal. I have a Brenspeed Custom tune along with my Airaid.
Does your Roush CAI require a tune or no?
I would highly recommend getting a custom tune to fully utilize the CAI's capabilities.
The custom tune will really wake up your 4.6 engine!!! 25 - 30 HP!!!!
I say, go for it!

I ran my intake without a tune, and the car wouldnt run properly. Even if it did, I would recommend getting a tune due to the fact of how big a difference it makes. Also, ive ran the Bama and Breenpeed tune and the Bama worked a little better for me. Both excellent though.
That setup should should pretty good too!

What they all said; a stand-alone CAI is worthless without a tune on these engines. And not all tunes are created equal so choose wisely. But your question is like asking if you should improve your car at 1% the cost of what you spent FOR the car. The answer is obvious.

Thanks for all the input guys. it makes it seem like a no brainier.
I have not installed the intake yet, arrives tomorrow via UPS.
I just installed the axle backs, love the sound!
Suspension is going on this weekend.
I guess I will get me a tune soon and install the intake along with the tune

If the Roush CAI does NOT require a tune, go ahead and install the CAI. Once the tuner arrives, you will be all set and ready to install the custom tunes!
This is what I did with my Airaid CAI. I did not experience receiving any codes or experience any issues w/ my stand alone CAI.
Even without a custom tune, you may feel a little performance gain (at higher RPM range) and you may hear a growling sound coming from the CAI. Enjoy!
