The MSD's were fine for around 48k miles and then I started to notice the change in steady state cruising. It was kind of like mild "trailer hitching", but not enough to really call it bucking. Then they crapped out on me hundreds of miles from home and I don't want that to happen again. If I ever put aftermarkets on again, I will always carry the stockers in the trunk for insurance.

Yeah, FRPP doesn't sell theirs for the mid '08 and earlier heads. But I am wondering if it is possible to swap the boots and internal springs from your stock COP's to the newer FRPP's?

I think the boot is the reason why those coils fail, regardless of the coil brand except for Accel, they don't need help lol.

That should be doable.

Begining to experiance something odd in the stang. Ill hit the gas and the car will revv but there will be a delay in the power and then itl just randomly "come on". Could that possibly be symptoms of a bad coil?(s)

Doesn't sound like a coil issue if it rev's freely when you hit the gas. Auto or manual? Sounds like an auto tranny (check fluid) or a clutch problem.

Its an auto. It doesnt happen often. Itl revv slowly and then the power comes. Some times ill hit the gas and nothing will happen then a second later itl accelerate

Ok guys so i went to the AM show in PA and bought the msd coils. Install was fast n super easy. So far it might seem to drop the rpms faster after revving and the throttle response seems improved off the line as well. Its def more "punchy". Cant say I gained much or any hp, but def feels bettwr then my old 89k miles coils. Not sure if it helped out my lag issue but ill keep u guys in the loop.
