Default Custome made engine bracket

i have a little interfeeance between my header and the engine bracket. so i made one out of 1/4 in plate that will give me about 3/4 of in clearance.

Looks good! What brand of headers were you having trouble with?

Well, I got a great deal on a set of polished stainless steel Boost Brothers shorty tuned headers. Workmanship and material quality was the best I have seen in along time (I have had Hooker, Headman and a few others). I was going to get a set of JBA's but these come along at a great price. I know most don't like the boost brothers but I have had them on two cars and both were very high quality. Fit is not always perfect but make JBA and a few others look like crap.

So, one of the tubes is too close to the bracket and after it warms up, it will make make contact and vibrated at about 1500 rpm. So, $50 and some welding problem solved. (after I get it installed). I have been hunting this vibration for some time.

Have you ever thought about making a few more pairs for selling?

All done and it worked out great! Even gave me enough room to setup my manifold for my sensors.

For anyone looking to make a driver side bracket like I did, here's a sketch to order the 1/4 inch steel blanks. The lower two gussets you need to cut to size. You will need your old aluminum bracket to make a jig from. The hole dimensions you can also get off the old bracket. If you have any questions, just let me know. It gives you allot more room and is MUCH stronger as well. I ordered the steel blanks from these guys http://stores.ebay.com/Sirius-Steel

Oh, the one sketch is missing the length which is 8.5 inches.
