aluminum driveshaft 2005-2006
just installed a prototype ford racing alum. driveshaft. it was made using real ford components and i will be selling on ebay within 2 weeks. i'm just waiting for the balance shop to complete them. i did a track test last week the difference is absolutely amazing. my 60' slowed due to wheel spin now but i will solve that this week and test again. so far i picked up 2 tenths but i ran this time with a full tank of fuel, no ice on the intake and straight off the street(no cool down). installed in 1 hour. weighs 16.5 lbs. stock weighs approx 42 lbs.

RE: aluminum driveshaft 2005-2006
i'm working with woodbine performance in Maryland to try to figure out the non ebay sales. on ebay i will list them for $499.00 +shipping ( probably 25-50 depends where it goes). as far as warranty: 0, it is a race part use at your own risk bla bla bla... thats how the legal stuff works as per my lawer. i have had mine in for a week now with no troubles. i have an auto. i don't know how well it is going to hold up behind a s/c'd 5-speed. you absolutely should have the ford racing saftey loops anyway. as soon as i get a couple in i'll try to post a picture.i'm new so be patient.

RE: aluminum driveshaft 2005-2006
i have found another place that sells an aluminum d-shaft for 05-06. JPC performanc in Glenn Burnie ,MD justin burcham(?) his is about $700 and he says it will handle 600-700 horsepower. so if youguys with lots of power want one try them.mine should be good to450-500hp. it's hard to make them as strong as the fox body shafts since it requires a slip joint. just remember if you are launching hard with lots of power any alum. driveshaft will not last as long as a steel one. my friend has a top sportsman avenger runs 7.70's he changes his every 50 runs.
