What will win around a track and why? I'm selling my corvette and contemplating on getting a 05-09 mustang GT but people are telling me the new V6 with a performance package will take the older v8 in a road coarse. Apparently it has a much better suspension? If so, what upgrades will it take to beat the v6 around a track.

There is not a significant difference in suspension between the 05-09 GT and the 11-14 V6PP. The V6 makes as much power, but not as much torque.

Generally speaking I'd say buy the newest car you can afford, but honestly, my advice to you is to be patient and wait until you find a 2011 5.0 priced as low as the other cars you were considering. There is a world of difference!

Then upgrade the suspension like I did on my 2011 5.0 and you'll be blown away!
