I have ordered my '06GT and am planning to run the ZEX setup on it. Does anyone know what the motor is made out of. I'm pretty sure the heads are aluminum, but I need to know about the block and the internals. I'm hoping that the rods, crank, and pistons are all forged.

you have a steel crank and hyper eutectnic pistons and rods. As far as running nitrous It's pretty safe. This new Zex kit has an active fuel control that adds and takes away fuel to make sure you never run too rich or too lean. Your transmission is strong enough to withstand it also. If you use drag radials or slicks while running No2 I suggest replacing your clutch. It will probably slip, change your flywheel while your at it. Forged pistons and rods wouldn't be a bad addition to your car to make it alot more reliable while running nitrous.

I'm not looking to run a stupid shot of nitrous, in fact, i'll probably never go any hotter than the zex kit will alow, usually staying with the 75 or 100 shot. Just want to be sure i won't have problems with my engine after using NO2.

Out of curiosity, have you run your car and what did you run.
