Question Trunk Rear Trim Panel?

Does anyone have a good fix for those two retainers P/N W712314S300 that won't secure the panel?? Thanks

I had to buy new ones too, one was missing. The 1st one I bought was too long. It takes the shorter ones. I'll look tonight to see the part and PM you.

I found the missing one in the driver side trunk pocket... Found all
kinds'a, **** in the trunk when dynamating it. Anyhow, mine did not
grab either, so I heated the ends up, and squished them in a tad, good
good as new...

Mine, before I "fixed" them, you could push them on...

Yeah I was curious about these, are they push on or screw on? they have the two ears on them so you would assume they were screw on....

Pushing them on is what destroys the ears... You may be able to push them
on a few times. Even if you pushed them on, they have to be screwed off.
After heating mine up, and squishing the ends a tad closer together, they have to
be screwed on for sure now.
