Traction control
Per the discussion about the "OFF" light being on once the default is change; that would be enough for me to want to stay away. But I got to looking, and it appears that the "off" could be carefully removed to reveal a rectangular light, similar to what the A/C shows when it's on. I may do it.
just a thought...
if you had a tune to permanently shut off the TCS, or maybe you just always drive with it off, if you cause an accident (weather driving like a d!ck or not), I wonder if the injured party, the cops, or the insurance can hold it against you... some sort of negligence on your part.

Good drivers don't need TC
Its sort of like riding a motorcycle in the rain, when you feel the back end start to shimmy, you ease up on the throttle, and prepare to use your foot for a little rain dance if necessary. Except in the car, you use your foot to let up on the throttle, and prepare to dance with the steering wheel!
I believe that my intelligence and driving skills are far more reliable than any computer that thinks it needs to dump the power going to my wheels when it senses a little spin. It may be good for the average population driving sedans, but for those of us that probably like to drive our stangs on the edge at times, I don't consider that killing of power to be safe - specially in traffic [:@]
I turn mine off everytime I start the car, just like mentioned above as part of the seat belt step

BTW, I have an xcal2 and I thought you could turn it off with that so you don't have to turn it off manually when you start the car. Has anyone done this?

it was anoying so I had them switch it back to normal. Now I just turn it off every time I start the car....
How does the traction control work on the mustang - does it cut the ignition...??
The reason I ask is that I am going to put a Roush supercharger on it and wanted to know if I need to do anything to permanently disable the traction control to prevent damage to the engine...

Traction control is probably the best thing that has happened - for my WIFE! She's got a lead foot and really gets in over her head around corners and on ramps occasionally. When we bought or 2002 vert in 02 she complained that the engine sometimes misses and sounds funny. Quickly figured out why. We just picked up our new 06 black on black convertable and same thing. I still havent explained the "miss" to her. LOL Me - I turn the damn thing off when I hit the starter. You just gotta "smokem if ya got em!"
