The GTO is faster. I hate to say it but unles they miss a shift................... it isn't a driver's race. I can beat them noe but no chance without the NOS.

you guys have to realize there are two breeds of goats running the streets. are they ls1 goats and then theres ls2 goats. at the track... an 05 ls2 gto auto(400hp, dual exhaust) will run a 12.99 all stock, and a 04 gto auto(350hp, single exhaust) with ls1 will run 13.45. but niether of these cars will run that fast on the street because your average traffic light doesnt have a 60ft concrete patch topped with 1 inhc of VHT. i have raced two 04 gto's on the street. one auto and one stick and beat them both by several car lengths. our cars are very even on the top end but against you have to win the race off the line...

The LS1 GTOs do not run 13.4. I am sure they are cabable of 13.6 but the fastest I have ever seen one run is 14.2.

well the one that i have seen ran in the outlaw pontiac race where i live and the only addon it could have had was a programmer but i dont even think it had that. i saw under the car and under the hood. the car was stock. just because you havent seen one run a 13.4 doesnt mean they cant. you probably never seen a 2001 stock gt run a 13.71 either, but that doesnt mean it cant happen...

The likely hood of either car doing it is not very good. I was talking about on average. ON average a 2V GT will not run better than low 14s. On average a LS1 GTO will not run better than high 13s to low 14s. You have seen one run 13.4. It does not happen that often. Think about it, they dyno about the same as a F-body sometimes a little lower and they weight more. F-bodies typically run 13.2 to 13.3 stock.

Yeah, I will have to agree with you. With 400 horsepower how are you going to beat that. By the way I would never pay 5500 for the both of them.

Okay, some of you may remember the discussion about GT vs. GTO, well my car is stock and he beat the **** out of me all the way down the road from dead stop to finish. So, anyone want to buy my wife so I can get a Seleen S/C. Asking $5500.00, you get her and her mother as a bonus! Thats my wife, her mother looks worse!!!

Buy the way 2005 Pontiac GTO LS2 0-60 4.8 1/4 mile 13.3 (C&D Jan '05)

Oh i am am getting weary of these stock vs. stock conversations. Listen our cars are 1 GAZILLION times better looking, very quick stock, and less expensive. 400 HP...no, but a few simple mods and you are running with or past the goat. Go S/C and forget it, now you're talking about running with some very serious company.

Most everyone on these forums are modding their cars for one purpose or another. Those who leave their stangs stock are more than likely just cruising around in a great looking vehicle. Those who mod, well you know who you are and why you're doing it. I know these stock vs stock posts are never going to end but I wish they would.

nothing but love for you goat owners, but i love toastn ya!
