Default eibach pro kit

i was thinking of getting the eibach pro kit for my 98 cobra, but i dont want to sacrifice ride quality. does this kit maintain the smooth ride of a stock suspension? would i have to get anything else with the kit such as caster/camber plates or anything like that? also, do speed bumps become a problem with this kit, or is there still enough ground clearance?

Well, you're on the wrong board for the '98 Cobra. But I had a '99 GT that I put the Prokit on and the ride actually improved a great deal from stock. I now have the Prokit on my '05 GT and the ride is quite firm compared to stock.

In your case, I think you will be very happy with the ride quality after the springs. And you shouldn't have to worry too much about speed bumps and such. Just use a little common sense when going over them.

I really like the look of the Eibach lowered 05/'06's and was going to buy a set for my '06 GT however, after reading several posts similar to yours saying that the ride is firmer than stock, I'll hold off. I drive on a lot of crummy roads in NE Ohio and find my GT's ride just about as firm as I care to have it.

I installed the Eibach Pro Kit on my '96 Cobra. Also used caster/camber plates and installed a bump-steer kit. Using stock shocks ride was fine. The same kit on my '06 GT rides a little firmer than stock but still acceptable.

Has anyone installed the Eibach shocks or any other aftermarket shock with the Pro kit on their '05/'06? I'm curious if the stock GT ride can be recovered using different shocks vs. retaining the stock GT shocks.
