I'm new here so pardon me if this has been posted before. I'm looking to get a tuner and wonder which one is the best way to go (keeping a modest budget in mind) I would like to be able to store factory settings.

I have the SCT and I love it. I think you should get the SCT Xcal 2. SCT or diablo is the only way to go.

Diablo is far superior in making power. The Diablo, however, will not help automatic trannies as much as the SCT. They'll fix that soon enough as you can download fixes off of the 'net.

You know I have read probably 10 of these threads regarding the SCT vs. Predator issue. Now everyone seems to love which everone that they own and could not be more happy with it. Hence they say it is the superior product, but how may people have used both on their car and can actually make a distinctive statement on which one is better? Probably not many, if anyone. So, I would say get the one that you can get the best deal on.

Well, most of the high-power tuners are rapidly switching from SCT to Diablo because of just how much power the Diablo makes.

It makes sense to me ( as a noobie) to go with the product a 'tuner'

I have SCT but I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the tuner just a programer for the Spanish Oak computer on the new Stang.

I must be the only person on this forum that used the original SuperChips micro tuner. It is great i have had no problems with it and it really made a big difference in power. I also used a k & n cai and 4;10 gears and a Hurst shifter and Hooker exhaust. This car is very quick!!!! Try this combo and you will be very happy!!

Any word on the Sniper tuner? I don't know if it's even available yet, but I like the presentation of the product. Does the manufacturer have a good history in tuners?

Yes, it just allows you to go around the finicky stock computer. SCT or diablo, neither one makes more power than the other from what I have seen.
