Default Wheel ???

On mustangtuning's website the FR500 wheels and the FR500 ( 05+ ) wheels are the same bolt pattern ( 5x4.5) So will the 18x10 with +22 offset be ok in the rear? And 18x9 with +24 offset in the front? I see that the 2005 has a different offset but they only have 18x9 for 2005+ and i want it to be deep dish in the rear.

i didnt buy the replicas, i bought the real ones from ford and they fit great on my car. i was told that they were not designed for the 05's and they may not work but i have had no problems at all

i got them at discount tire...a buddy of mine got me a package deal. basically i had to pay for the rims (which arent cheap at all) and i got BFGoodrich g-force KDW tires for free.

you should still expect to pay about 400/rim from ford

i honestly dont know the offset on mine. you can find it at fordracing.com though. they have all the info on the wheels there

What does 5.98" backspacing translate to in MM offset?

Hey mac, you having any photos of your car from the side? I'm also contemplating the FR500's but i can't seem to find a decent picture anywhere of what they look like on the 05/06's. I want to gauge how they look on the car and whether or not I'd like them. I'd appreciate it.

Uhhh, nevermind.......didn't notice the link in your sig. DOH!! Cool rims.

If you want to keep it in the fenderwells you need a 45mm offset for 10" wheels and a 36mm offset for 9"

45mm offset for 10" wheels will keep tire in the fenderwells but 45mm offset is the offset on the stock 8"Bullits, so you will send the tire 1" outward more than stock with 10's. I'm not saying this looks bad but enough debris kicks up as it is and 1" further out... well to me that's something to consider.
