Default MAC axle backs installed

I put on my MAX axle backs this week. It was a very easy install, it took about an hour and I did it without having to use jacks, Ford made it very easy to replace the exhausts. I backed my car up the driveway until the rear tires were at the flat point of the garage floor. Yes, I do have a floor jack and jack stands it's just that I'm recently married and we haven't combined all of our things yet.

For those that wanted to hear some sounds of the MAC's here are a few clips. The exhaust sounds awesome and I've already received complements and thumbs up from other drivers. Apologies for the amatuer video, did them myself.

Is this with the stock cats and h-pipe in place? If so I can't wait for my MAC's to show up! Sounds fantastic!

Sorry for the upload site, that countdown and having to close ad windows is ridiculous. I tried putfile.com but the videos wouldn't upload all of the way, I will try and find another site.

That is with the original stock H-pipe and cats, the sound is awesome. My only mod so far is the MAC axle backs, but my CAI and tune have been shipped.

They sound great. Have you notice the drone that I have heard some talk about at freeway speeds? I am close to picking a axle back and MAC are high on my list. Did the tips line up properly? You will love the CAI. I got the C&L with SCT X-cal 2 with BrenSpeed tune and it is like a different car.

Gkosin - on the freeway the MAC's are actually pretty quiet at cruising speeds, if you go up a long hill and leave it at 2000 rpm you will hear the drone but I don't usually like to lug my car up a long hill and will downshift into 4th gear and the drone is gone and then the sound is very nice indeed. Basically the drone people talk about is at 2000 rpm and really only if you are going up a hill putting a load on the engine and letting the rpm's sit there, I don't and shift to a lower gear so I'm not lugging the engine. Overall I'm very happy with the exhaust and the compliments I get.

I ended up ordering the JLT II with the SCT X-Cal 2 from Brenspeed, liked the looks of the black intake tube that will match my black GT. Can't wait for it to arrive and be installed. I liked Brenspeed's availability of tested tunes for California's octane of 87, 89 and 91 and also all of the positive feedback on their products.

The Drone is worse on the Automatics, I got used to it and now I like it, because it's real loud outside the car, It turns heads,
I LOVE MY MACS. Best Sounding Muffler Yet. I get comments all the time on how much people love the sound.
