Steeda UCA S197
Installing my Steeda UCA and mount for my 2006 GT, and I am running into this issue that I assume everyone else has?
The new mount bracket for the forward mounting bolt is a LOT shorter than factory, so I am wondering where the clamping force is coming from to tighten this bolt instead of just crushing the sheet metal under my back seat.
Ah screw it, Steeda knows what they are doing don't they???
So, sure enough I go to tighten this bolt under the seat, and it feels like its never getting tight, but rather just crushing the metal under my back seat, which you can see in this next picture, as the washer is curling up around.
Its like it is still trying to "pull" the mounting arm up towards the bolt head. 100 foot*lbs on this bolt and I feel I have deformed the washer enough.
Someone give me some insight as what is going on here! Steeda???
Thanks!!
Dan

I don't get why this was moved to the V6 General Discussion Forum.
I cant even find this post from the main forum, but maybe my mouse is broken.
edit-
Ah never mind. Looks like there is a fair bit of stuff under this category
