Bull Chit on wasting gas

Why did you change from 3.55's in the first place if you want 3.73's? Very little difference.

Where did the thread startersay anything about seting his car up primarily for racing? Going from the stock 3.55's to 3.73's would benearly pointless in his case (as in mine) given the way he intends to use his Mach 1, and your previous post thatstated "....UR REALLY GOING TO WASTE GAS WITH 4:10 GEARS" remains a BS statement.

I currently have a 2004 Mach 1 which I use as a daily driver, mostly in the city, and am trying to decide which rear end gear I should upgrade to. I want to improve my acceleration and somewhat keep the high end power. But, like I said, I mostly do city driving and occasionally go on a long road trip with it. So I'm slightly concerned with gas mileage. What would better fit my situation.....4.10's, 3.73's, or somewhere in between?

I have 4:10's in mine and I love them, best mod yet. Mine is a daily driver 32 miles each way to work everyday, and I have made a few cross country trips in the Mach also. the gas milage change was very minimal.
As for top end, I have had the car to 130 mph out in the middle of nowhere coming home from one of my trips toTexas, and it still had more to go.
