Default Mach Brakes

Ok, I had to change my brake pads this week, so I stopped by Advance Auto and picked up a set for the front and back. I got the car on the lift and sure enough the clerk gave me the wrong ones. So, me and the guy helping me ran down the road to the NAPA and asked for 2004 Mach 1 pads. The girl that works there came out with the same wrong pads. I asked her if she was looking up Brakes for a MACH 1 and she confirmed. So, knowing we have the same brakes as the Termies, I asked her to get me a set of those. When she got back with them, sure enough they were the correct ones. Point being, Advance Auto, NAPA, and I'm sure all other parts stores have our cars listed as having the same front pads as GTs. So before you guys get your car's wheels and calipers off, make sure you ask for 2003-04 SVT brakes, not Mach 1 brakes, or you'll get GT pads. The rear pads are indentical with GTs btw. So SVT front, GT rear.

Anyone else run into this before?

i think the rear brakes are a hair bigger. when i put my slicks on my gt i had no rubbing problem. when i put my slicks on my mach i had a little bit of rubbing on the inside of the wheel.

It is the same caliper as the gt in the rear. The difference is that GT rear rotors are solid and rear rotors on a mach/cobra are vented.
