well you had 0 replies so I thought I'd help a brother out. I've always used whatever doesn't cost that much b/c every guy behind every counter says they're all the same. Autolite isgenerally what I use and have never had a foul one or anything like that. Also, I've never heard anyone say they've found one is significantly better than the other. I even had a fellow racer at the track tell me SplitFire plugs slowed his car down a tenth. It's all hogwashso just get whatever's reasonable. Hope this helps.

NGK TR-55 ix are a very good plug. smooths out the idle alot. but the only thing is there like 8 bucks a pice. for a half of a heat range cooler you can go with the TR-6 which alot of guys like to run. they are about 2 bucks a pice. i think im gunna order the tr-6 in a few. my dad runs the NGK TR-7s in the nova and he loves em.

BINGO, rebel! Don't waste your money on $8 plugs, GMS coil packs, MSD boxesor any of that stuff on a largely stock engine.

Default RE: spark plugs

Actually I was just talking to a mechanic from PSR (performance solutions racing) this last weekend at or club day out at the track, He was telling me not to use platnium plugs in our cars because they burn to hot, (he may have ment for our AZ heat), He was also telling me about one of our Mach buddy's that took his Mach in for a dyno, the first thing they did was a base line dyno, then they changed the plugs (NGK TR55 gapped at .040) and did another dyno. He told me they picked up almost 8 hp just from changing the plug and smaller gapping.
I know it sounds unlikely, but im sure alot of you are familair with the M1R and if you are you probably have heard of PSR and alot of the parts testing they do on their dyno. I myself think its pretty awesome the research they do for us.
OFF TOPIC- there is a read over there about a Dyno testing they did with stock intake vs. polish intake vs. with and without the PHP/Roy intake spacer. they used the same car for every test they said the car never came off the dyno while swapping parts.
