i Heard Zs lose alot of power through there drive trains and not to much make it to the wheels, and that is why they are not that fast. idk if that is true though for the 07+

If you are talking about he RX-8's, the best people get out of them stock in the 1/4 are 14.4's. That isn't common either. My friend ran his and he was only running mid 15's. They are not fast at all. They are meant for auto x.

yea i raced a older one about a year ago when all i had was the cai. went from like a 30-40 mph roll and he jumped me BAAAAD cause no one honked and i didnt even know if we were gonna race, but i was pulling really hard on him when he quit. id say he hada good 1-11/2 car jump and when he quit we were pretty muchdeadeven
I raced an 04 6spd 350z right before Christmas. I pulled on him bad, like 100yds by the time we went from a stop to 100mph. The older ones struggle to get a low 14. The new ones are fast, just a few tenths behind a Mach. In fact, if you're not on your Ps and Qs, a new 350z stands a good chance of staying right beside you in a Mach or nosing ahead on top end.
Rebel, don't even waste your time on that RX-8 unless you're just curious. I love those cars styling, handling, and especially the interior, but after test driving one, I knew I would regret buying it. It did absolutely nothing until I hit 4500rpm, and then it just gave the slightest lurch when it finally hit its powerband. Excellent handling and the smoothest shifter I've felt in awhile, but still wayy to slow. I think a torque monster would be more of a match for one on an 1/8th mile track.
