Stoney, Fur, you boys know I love you guys - in fact, I love all my Mach brethren. Let's get that out of the way right up front. But I'm putting on my mod hat and setting this down. If you fellas want to continue your debate, take it to PMs. Any more sniping or one guy telling another guy that he doesn't know what he's talking about and groundpounder's going to get big ugly and green, lock the thread (which would suck for rygi), and start some thumping. We havethe friendliest section on the site and it's going to stay that way. Discussion and differing opinions are cool, but sniping and gettin on each other is not.
I'm not taking sides here, but the rears you can and tuners routinely do that - the fronts you cannot. The shop that tuned my Mach, Illinois Dyno Center in Port Byron, Illinois (309-523-9201 ask for Tom or Jesse) turned them off with my Diablohandheld tuner. Literally. I called just 5 minutes before I made this post to confirm with Jess, and here's how it went:
Me: "Yo, Jess, it's Jason."
Jesse "Hey, dude! What's up?"
Me: "Not much, killer. Just kicking it old school with the posse."
Jesse: "Word up. Whatcha got?"
Me: "Gotta little debate going on a forum where I'm a moderator, so before I lay it down to the masses, I have a question because I don't want to look like a douche."
Jesse : "Shoot."
Me: "With an O/R H or X, do you literally'turn off' the rear O2 sensors or do you just fiddle with some setting and send the computer a different signal?"
Jesse: "We turn them off."
Me: "Really? Like literally turn them off?"
Jesse: "Yeah, literally. There is a spot in the menu where you can literally turn the sensor off. If you already have ahandheld, it's really the only way to go. Guys without handhelds use MILs, which fool the computer into thinking the sensors are reading what they need to read. With a handheld, it's like they're not even there and the computer doesn't need to see them. Now, you CAN'T turn off the fronts, so you tune around them and work the signal they read into the parameters of the tune so you don't throw a code."
Me :"So you literally turn off the rears, eh?"
Jesse: "Yea, ******. What are you, deaf? By the way, when are you bringing in that big nasty truck of yours so we can squeeze it for 350 at the crank?!"
Me: "Soon, baby...very soon!"
Can't be any plainer, I guess.
No need arguing about emissions and emissions laws, either. They vary state-by-state (IF that particular state has them), so saying one car will pass while another won't, or mine did and yours didn't so you don't know what you're talking about, W/E, will result in a laying on of the hands by Reverend GP, and it won't be for healing purposes
Agree to disagree on emissions and leave it at that. I think the O2 thing is right as rain now...

What we need to do is ride rygi like a rented mule until he figures out a way to post clips! C'mon, Ryan, don't be a technophobe!
hint: gp likey the raspy. Louder, raspier, more annoying, the better.
When Mrs GP said, "I don't like your car anymore - it's too loud," I knew I was doing it right. I wish there was some way to run LT's and SIDEPIPES!!! You wanna talk about old skewl!! If you ain't scarin women, children and little old ladies, there's room for improvement, I says!
rygi, at least get under there and shoot a pic or somethin!

Alright GP...sh*t! You got your f***ing pics when this damn site quits telling me my pics from my dig cam are too big. Fur and Stonie, you guys were cracking a cracker straight the hell up! I was feelin' anamocity at first, didn't know y'all had it like that. Made a brother feel good cuz we're all here to help eachother out. By the way, I'm getting used to my LM1s w/ your....my o/r h. Feels great waking the neighbors and blowing people in the slow lane half way off the road. Couple of my friends didn't listen to me when I told them it was loud...you shoulda seen the looks on their faces when they witnessed the open header-like fury.
Anyways, I really thank y'all beatches alot for the 6 hours of deliberating on the question my technophobic *** just had to have answered.
Now, GP, if you'll excuse me, I have to go kick it old school with my possee!
