Hmm...this is kind of a tough one broham.. I've seen some really sweet swaps done with RX-7's so that's always a top choice.. though I have to admit that seeing a TT-302 in an S-15 would be friggin chubby inducing.. lol I'd go with that brudda..

well, i just called a couple friends that deal with the 240's and the RX7, and apparently the 240 is more plentiful and 50-100 lbs lighter. so it looks like a 240sx is the car this will go in, and i will try and get pics of the motor and where im at so far....hopefully next weekend ill have it cleaned up real well, and all that stuff, already .010 overbore, cross hatching is still good, pistons and rod are good.

lol.. Where the hell do you come across the parts and/or the money to do all of this you lucky bastard? lol I'm jealous.. :-p I'd LOVE to take an 00' formula T/A and drop an H/C/I 396 in it with a good blower, but I'll be damned if I have the time or the money to do it, much less a place to do it.. lol Definitely wanna see pics of the build when you get em' broham.

well, i'm a scavanger, so i spend time in junk yards and buy used everything i can to cut down on major parts cost. but the block was free. like im thinking of grabbing two turbo's from the turbo coupes for 60 each, pulling them apart to check for damage and grease em up and use them. but im thinking i might have to do and STS style turbo setup to keep the "stock " appearance.....i dream big man, hopefully one day i'll own my own shop here in town lotsa foreign shops, none really domestic so there is a market...doing this would add some "street cred" so if i build a couple of these run em hard beat some of the bigger name guys....you see where im going.

OT
a tubbed 240sx would look crazy as hell, but thats some $$$$

Yeah, I can see where you're going broham. Trying pull space in an empty market like that is going to take a lot of overhead though, especially if you're looking to open your own shop, and the interest rates on SBL's are frraacckkiinn high right now, thanks our good friend GW's defense of big business tax breaks and the like, so the little guys are suffering. I think like you said if you get the "street cred" and build up a solid customer base that keeps coming back you could do it. It's gonna take a few years and a helluva lotta work, but it's possible.

Me I would like to one-day run mine pro-street, or at least get to the point where I could do so with another vehicle, possibly as a privateer. Then MAYBE if I'm lucky get picked up by a professional crew. But who knows, by then I may be too old to be that attractive from a longevity standpoint to a pro crew as I'm already 31,so I guess I'll just have to see how that goes when the time comes. Either way I'm definitely going to make a streetable strip car out of the mach because I like driving the damn thing too much. lol

i feel ya SUB, i would love to be a driver, but i would rather build the stuff....they're not to bad here, i know of 2 people in the lsat couple years that got them straight out of college. hell, all i need is 1 great installer and a garage not really a big one just a decent sized one. good thing i love working on cars, i want to pioneer a new way with some of my engine buildup ideas (i've got so many ideas and so little money)....
im gonna say hold off on buying to many performance mods right now....i talked with a couple of guys i know from ford, and lemme say the era of the mustang ruling the streets will be back shortly. in 2010/2011 the new motor will be a 4v 5.0l mod motor 400hp/360+tq back with the t56 (or similar) from the 03-04 cobra. OH and the weight of the vehicle wont break 3800lbs ....lets just say the GT500 KR wont be a smart buy just yet....it's possble that SVT is going to give the GT500 an upping in power (600+)
