trans issues?????
Are there problematic issues with our 3650 transe I have been missing? Just read two different new threads on transmissions breaking. I remember the thread with running less fluid for easier shifts when cold, but the recent threads are starting to make me feel like I shouldn't be ripping the s..t out of my shifts like I do.
yeah, the problem with our 3650 is the synchro's and our shift rails from a 2-3 normally. they tend to be very weak...it's a issue they nerver worked out from the old t 45.....nah if you've had it for a while then your good. Some transmissions are jsut like that, luck of the draw.
Meeehh.. kind of like USMC said, it's a bit of luck of the draw there.. Granted the harder you rip on a tranny the sooner it's going to wear out no matter which tranny you have.. But he's right, the 3650's have notoriously weak synhcro's, and a lot have even had weak shift forks too, like my first one did. I ended up putting about 2k in total fix money into the 3650 I had before I finally said ***** it and doled out the cash for the Tremec TKO I've got now, which is in my opinion an awesome friggin tranny for anything up to about 650 crank horse, maybe more.. If you get your hands on a good 3650 though it'll last for a while as long as you don't COMPLETELY beat the **** out of it.. lol
