I feel like an idiot, but I am still confused.

I see black knbs that the shaker fits onto, but I don't understand where the spacers go. Could I just put grease on the ball joints?

just unbolt the ***** with a 15MM wrench, then place the spacers inbetween the **** and the place where it bolts into.

Oh ok. I was thinking that it was the Ball joint things that were making the sqeuaking sounds.

I had the same problem but when I put on my intake spacer from Roy is stopped it. Gained some power at the same time.
There was a TSB on the rattle and there is another fix for it. Check it out here: http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...=shaker+rattle

If you are a member on the registry then you have probably heard about Roy's spacers.
