it can work in it, but you will damage your engine eventually......you know my dad had some friends in highschool and college that kept white lightening around for when they ran out of gas

yea it will work but after a while you will damage the motor if you really want to do that then just get an SCT or something and have a shop do an 89octane tune for you then you will be just fine

Personally I would not use it the Mach 1 has a 10:1 mechanical compression ratio which I believe needs 91 octane minimium.

I refuse to run anything under 93 Octane in my Mach for the simple fact that we have this "Gasahol" crap in my state (10% ethanol). Premium is like $.14 more expensive, but i'm attempting to make up for being forced to run on the swill theyre selling here.

I know you can do lean/econo tunes with the SCT tuner (can the diablosport do it as well?), could you get a tuner and run a lean tune and retard the timing and such and be able to run 87 or 89 octane? I'm pretty lost as far as tuning is concerned but would that be a possibility? My mach drinks gas

Our cars have to run minimun 91 Octane which is premium, while 93 is considered Super Premium.

If you run anything under 91 Octane not only can you cause your motor to be harmed, it will also cause lower gas milege and it won't burn as efficient.

Spend the extra 1.50 a tank of gas to run the 91/93 (as available)vs. the 89... if you can't afford it - you can't afford your car.
