So the previous owner painted the hoot flat black. It is a pain in the **** to keep clean. It seems everytime I wipe it with a microfiber towel it gets scratched more. Any ideas? Could a clear coat be put over it?

Repaint it back to stock and get the factory decal back on it.
I'm soooo glad I never painted my GT hood flat black like I first intended.

I'm strongly considering this. My dads buddy owns a collision shop so i'm gonna get his opinion.

 

it may be a pain sometimes but i get more complements about my hood than any other part of my car. i would never go back to the stock look esp the vinal if anything paint the stock stripe on.

 

they're both a pain to deal with, pic the one that looks best to you then get it that way
