Default Is this normal?

Is it normal for an '03 Mach 1's parking brake light in the guage pod to come on during hard braking? Every time I have to brake hard the little red indicator light in the guage pod comes on like when your parking brake is up. Something wrong in the wiring? Loose cable?

Low brake fluid, light doubles as low brake fluid light.

Ditto... The fluid shifts when you brake hard and the sensor momentarily detects low. I had the same thing happen, and after I added fluid to the fill line, it stopped.

Double ditto.. lol Mine did the same thing when the brake fluid got low, and a couple of times under hard breaking. I'd check the fluid just to make sure it's not low and if it's not I wouldn't worry about it unless it does that all the time broham..

dont add brake fluid, if your BF is low its cause the pads are low and the pedal is getting replaced with fluid

^^^Ehhhmmm what exactly are you talking about? The pedal being replace with brake fluid?? I'm not throwing the BS flag here, but that makes absolutely no sense.. When the pads get low the screecher bars in the pads tap the rotors when you hit the brakes hard, hence the screeching sound.. If his fluid is low the pedal will feel loose and he'll have to mash the pedal down in order to stop because there isn't as much pressure in the line. Is this what you mean??
