I have to ask... Great on the the bottem end but my mach is strictly my DD. Right now I'm getting an avg of like 22mpg and about 25mpg hwy (better than my old GT). Do the 4:10's kill ur mileage? I know I put a C6 toploader in my foxbody with the stock 2:73 gears I'm hitting 2600rpm's to drive 60mph on the hwy!

man, ive got 4:10's in my mach, 1st gear will go 30 at redline, 2nd gear redlines at 50, 3rd gear redlines at 80 4th gear redlines at 120. my car screams like a bat out of hell all the way up to 120, no way in hell am i going to quick shift into fifth and punch it, so i have to granny shift into fifth, but let me tell you at 120+ in 5th gear, my car hung with a a fully built turbo'd crx that ran mid 12's from 30-140, so fifth still had a LOT of acceleration left in it, but after about 140my car seems to drop off a little bit.

WOW, so 4th goes from 147mph to 120mph at redline? I kinda like fourth being able to pull to 140+, but I guess if everyone loves 4.10s they gotta be good.

The thing is, how often are you going to be going that fast? I would think that the gears would ring out a bit higher than those numbers. My GT went out to those numbers with 4.10's and it revved out to 1000 less than us. Maybe sparks is an auto.

That is true. I didn't think about that. Those numbers do seem really low though. The 120+ in 5th isn't far off, but the 30, 50 and 80 are. That is the speeds for a GT at redline with 4.10's.

Each gear should go a bit higher because of the extra 1000 rpm that we have over the 2v. Maybe your speedo is incorrect?

I got my car tuned at Anderson Ford Motorsports in Illinois. I dont know if you guys have ever heard of the "Anderson Power-Pipe" but its for supercharger applications and they are very well known all over the country for being one of the top mustang dyno shops. Well the guy over there tuned my car and adjusted the speedo for my 4:10's, so im sure it was done right. When i get off work today ill run through the gears and check the speedo for the exact MPH at redline

Those mph at redline sound about right. I just got my 4.10's about a month ago. These cars should have come stock with 4.10's. I would never go back and mine is a daily driver... As a matter of fact of wouldn't mind trying out 4.30's........ If you're worried about drivability, it hasn't been an issue with me, but I don't drive in a lot of rush hour traffic.

P.s. mine is a 5 speed
