Always have to remember when running 1/4 mile is location!!! One mach might run 14's in one place of elevation and air and the same mach will run low 13's somewhere else where the elevation and air is better! My best 60ft is 1.72 and turned a 12.84 at 111.54mph on motor!

Daddy, you have one badass Mach! Did you get a DSS because of your N02 plans? Any chance of F/I?

LOL I did the DSS short block because before the recall on the ticking noise of the heads on the driver side, I had a guy from a friend try and fix it before I knew anything about these mod motors and he didnt get it fixed, but when i picked it up he forgot to fill it with water/antifreeze!!! Stacked a rod bearing and thought if I have to buy a short block, might as well do it right so I can spray, turbo, or supercharge it. The upgrade cost me 5500 total, put arp head studs and main studs in it and the motor will hold up to 600-700hp but with these blocks 650-700 is pushing from what I have heard, but im working on getting there!LOL

Not sure what you mean by F/I though...sorry

As for the 1/4 mile times, like I have told everyone that I talk to....it all depends on your elevation what these cars will run!!! mine runs 12.8's on motor at 4000ft above sea level and I drive 400 miles south to ennis texas and my car runs 12.0's!!! just remember what your elevation is when talking to people, but yea a bone stock at sea level should run low 13's, but high elevation your going to climb into the high 13's-low 14's.

Ahhh, I see. That sux about your original motor, but at least you went ahead and fixed it right! A friend of mine is pushing a little over 700rwhp on his DSS, but he never, ever runs it hard, so its kind of hard to say whether or not its safely holding all that power.

F/I is an abbrevation used around here meaning forced induction.

I agree with you on the elevation statement. A lot of times, especially in the street/strip section on this site, people argue about what a car will or won't do, and don't ever take into account that there maybe a 4k foot difference in sea level. Luckily, I'm only about 300ft ASL.

Yea, IMO...DSS makes some good stuff! Best IMO for stangs esp Mod motor stuff.
As for the F/I, yea I was thinking about it at some point next year with income tax check LOL! There is a guy on here named MachWon with a sweet red mach that im going to get with that seems to know what I would need to about procharging it! Everyone is all about turbos and im not that into turbos for some reason. Not sure which is best charging or turboing, but will do something sometime to get 580-600rwhp. Thats my goal anyways.

And yea, ur lucky....damn 300ft ASL!!! im 4,000!!!!! Stock mach's here run 14.0's-14.1's and yours runs 13.0's-13.1's....proves my point!

Not sure if this is would be a the place or best place to ask, but does anyone have any opinions on programming software or tuners???? I have a Diablo, but here SCT is better...any advice? and if I wanted to custom program mine and a couple of my buddies, which software would anyone suggest? Thanks in advance....

SCT is the one's that came out first with tuning for stangs, so i trust them the most, but Diablo has some good stuff now....if i ever do any modding, i'll be getting the SCT livewire
