Nice! A shifter with stops and a no-stretch cable with a firewall stabilizer will save almost any Mustang transmission from certain destruction. Now what are you gonna do to get into the 12s?

Thanks man. A set of drag radials is next in line, here the Nitto 555 is descent. I go 13.1 will street radials @ 25 psi. They should knock of a couple/few tenths. Your advice was/is very much appreciated btw. That kind of stuff goes a long way. You got my biz the minute I need it.

Default Runnin' 12s

Looks like you have a sound plan for steppin' up. It is a lot of fun passing on the transmission knowledge I have gained over the years. I know if I give good advice and help whenever possible it will pay off in the long run.

Transmissions are one of the least understood systems in the car. For some reason engines and diffs get all the attention. Heck, in most tech articles you get two pages of engine, half a page of rear end and a single sentence about the transmission. Something like, "backing the hot Mod motor is a World Class Tremec t5."

I think even the tech editors out there are a little less informed about transmissions than they are about the other components. Frustrating.

Anyway, I'm glad to help and happy to hear that you ran good numbers with your crunchy trans! Let me know if you have any other questions. AP
