So how much do you lose through the tranny? I was told it was 15%, is this not correct?

Varies 1 or 2% w/ tranny but 15% is a good general rule. Tremec claims 16% loss with our 3650, which means we're making approx. 3 more hp at the crank, but we won't get picky about 1%.
