I hate to admit it, but I too had the problem. I was out of gear braking moderately from 50mph and the RPM's dropped under 1000, jumped a few times, then the car actually stalled out. I checked all four hose clamps and found that the one on the throttle body was a bit loose which allowed the tube to pull away slightly. I shoved it back on, tightened it up, and so far haven't been able to replicate the problem.

Glad it hasn't came back, put still pretty freakin weird.

Be careful not to over tighten that clamp you can distort the tube which might cause a unmetered vacuum leak.

I found out exactly what configuration the engine and trans was in at the time of stall-out. I found that everytime I tried this, it caused the car to stall-out. Place the car into second gear and dring the car up to 3,000 rpm. Push in the clutch and coast in neutral. The car stalled out everytime I did this. This enabled me to do some computer diagnosis. It turns out that the force or the 2 intake sources (CAI and Shacker) while rolling generates too much turbulance. I then placed the stock diffuser into the intake and the problem corrected itself. I have never had the problem since I added the diffuser.

Thanks for all your support in trying to fix my intake problem.

Just wanted to chime in here. I installed the K&N back in mid July and really just had the chance to put some drive time , 300 miles , on it this past weekend. Had no problem at all either on the highway or stop and go crap.
Just my 2 cents.
