If he is gonna be a tight *** and not let you borrow it just have him drive you to school or work, or ask a friend to help you out. Your car should only take a day 2 days tops to get the headers and midpipe put on.

Are you trying to give his dad a stroke? Lmao....If he is acting the way he is over headers I can only imagine what he would do or say about the bottle.

Your dad sounds like a control freak. If he wants you to save your money, that's one thing, but if he's OK with you spending it on something other than headers, that's just stupid. Save some more money and pay one of your friends to either drive you around or borrow his/her car for a couple days.

Yes, he wants me to save my money; but he says if I want to spend my money I should get and x pipe and a cat back and a CAI and call it good lol. He still thinks a CAI is a good HP mod. He also says that I will have no better sound with headers vs a mid pipe back; and that with a tune I will not get anywhere close to 30 HP. I can afford the headers, the install, the tune, and 6 months of insurance and car payments if I were to lose my job or could not work for whatever reason. Problem is, I work 40 hours a week and go to school and buy nothing but gas, insurance and pay my car payment... I work hard and want to play every now and again. Lol. His big issue is some of his friends mentioned breaking a header bolt off in the heads and he absolutely believes that this WILL happen to me. Now tell me if what the Blood Industries guy told me is true: (Yes, if we have any broken header bolts then the labor time to extract those bolts would come out of your pocket. On the other hand we haven't had too many issues with header bolts on those cars. The aluminum heads dont rust like the iron heads so the likelyhood of the stud or bolt getting stuck in the head is not very high. "Usually" if a bolt or stud breaks off it would be with enough thread showing that we can get an extractor tool on the open threads so it only takes a minute or two to remove vs hours like the iron heads.)

I cant stand not being able to spend the money that I earn lol. Always have to run it by my Dad first. What do you pay for insurence on that thing? I pay 320/ month + car payment(162).
